Ready CA began as a grassroots network for Canadians who had stopped trusting their institutions to look after them. The conviction was real, and so was the core audience. The brand around it read like a message board: a hockey-goalie mascot, an article feed, a forum sidebar, and a single email field.
Every message pointed outward, against digital ID, central bank digital currencies, and surveillance. Nothing told a member who they were, what they were building, or why they should bring someone with them.
Jared came on as Chief Propaganda Officer to rebuild Ready CA from its positioning up. Within the first month the client team was at capacity, and he ran strategy and build end to end.
The work started with the audience: who they are, where they gather, and what they already believe. From there it moved to the story that holds them, the identity that carries it, and a front door that turns a stranger into a member.
The old site asked visitors for an email. The rebuild opens on a thesis, backs it with a running ledger of public data, and routes every reader to a readiness audit.
The client's team moved the rebuild onto ready.ca, where it runs today. It opens on the narrative Jared wrote, organizes around the four-pillar readiness framework, and sends readers to the manifesto and the audit.
The Canadian Readiness Index went live at selftest.ready.ca in April 2026 as the front door to the brand. The companion essay, The Other Canada, came back from the client with no edits for tone.
